Today in London the number of rough sleepers has doubled over the past decade, with an average age of death at just 44 years old, with many from suicide. More than one in three people sleeping rough have deliberately been hit or kicked, and a third of women facing homelessness have experienced sexual violence. You can make an incredible difference to the many rough sleepers who come to us for help to people like Brian, a former guest at Webber Street. He said, "Three years ago, I was living absolutely outrageously on London's Streets. I came to Webber Street because I needed somewhere to eat and freshen up. Today I have three meals, a full-time job, some balance in my life, I am part of a church family and the futures looking exciting. Every morning I am thankful that where I am is Gods work and that I am still being supported by London City Missionaries. Your gift today will help turn the lives of many in London."

What do you think of when you hear 'Home'? It's something many look for isn't it? Two years ago, I considered participating in Sleepout but opted out as someone about to get married and move into a home with my beautiful bride! I'm so thankful for the home that we now have in central London. But you cannot help but notice and feel for the hundreds of people living on the streets around us. They need assistance - and it has been so inspiring to see how the team at London City Mission and Webber Street have battled through the past 20 months of COVID to give them that and, hope.
