Story

Andrew's story

Like last year, I decided to run the BUPA London 10k over the May Bank Holiday to raise money for the Injured Players Foundation.  Unlike last year, I picked up an injury some months ago that looked likely right up until the day to prevent me from running.  On the morning itself, though without the physio's blessing, I ran anyway - and Alexander agreed to run with me, which was great.  The day was spectacular, the time not quite so ...

Rugby, statistically, is not a dangerous pastime, and it's the referee's first priority to keep it that way.  But when injuries do occur they can be life-changing and require a great deal of care - and financial support.  The IPF is England's official rugby charity, offering support for life, from grass roots level up to international.  Over the last five years they have given out over £4m for catastrophically injured players, and help prevent further injury.  Please donate something, however small, to help.  Thank you!
