In 2011 a motorcycle crash left me paralysed. It has been a really physical and mind challenging battle to adapt to living in a wheelchair daily. Waking up and being told you may never walk again never really sinks in, I often pretend to myself this has not happened. I have received support, advice and direction from many people who are involved in spinal injuries, SIA being one of them and now i would like to give something in return.
On the 1st of October 2017 I will be using my armbike to do the 80 miles from Coldham's Common, Cambridge and the finishing line being Earlham Park, University Drive, Norwich. Joining me on the Challenge will be my good friends MARK STEVENS, HOWARD CLARKE and DAVE BLOOM on bicycles. This event will really challenge our stamina and determination, it will be the furthest I've personally traveled on the arm bike.
We are aiming to do it in under 6 hours and to raise money for Spinal Injuries Association SIA, so they can carry on with the research and support for the massive life changes having a spinal injury has on people, their family and friends.
A big thank you to MARK STEVENS, HOWARD CLARKE and DAVE BLOOM for ridding beside me on this challenge.
Time to put the brave face on and get into fight Mode!!
Thank you
