Two of my friends have undertaken a journey that will span from Chicago to New York City... on foot.  Throughout the 850 mile trek they will be raising money for and spreading awareness of the youth displaced by ethnic violence in Northern Kenya.  Our goal, to build one school, a haven from the trauma that has befallen the innocent children in recent years.  The effort is being spearheaded locally in Kenya by leaders of the community and is being supported by athletes and optimists the world over.  I will be joining Barefoot Alex Ramsey and Patrick Sweeney for one 50 mile leg of their journey, in solidarity with the people of Kenya, to play a small part in effecting positive change for the future in a region that is in dire need of hope.  Thanks for any small contribution that can be made !
