We are a thriving club that boasts a number of junior teams as well as a growing girls and ladies cricket section. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">We have recently been granted additional land for us to rent and we have invested money in creating a junior Cricket pitch with all weather facilities. Our grounds man and ground staff work tirelessly to produce the best local facilities to play and we are regularly commended from teams all over the county. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">The club has gone from strength to strength in recent years and we have been able to obtain the services of a number of outstanding cricketers as well as an outstanding club coach. We were rewarded for our efforts by gaining promotion to Kent Premier League, widely regarded as one of the best club cricket leagues in the country. The Kent League&rsquo;s representative side have won the National Club Cricket Conference Competitions more than any other county in recent times. </span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">Lyminge is a small village with very limited facilities but we attract players and supporters from the whole district and now that we have gained premier league status we expect our catchment area to continue to grow.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: maroon; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">If we are going to realise our plans and hopes for the short and long term it is essential that we bring the facilities in line with our success on the pitch. We are committed to forging partnerships that would allow us the investment needed to realise our ambitions. However, this event exceeds all others I have attempted in the past. We are travelling to Lands End on Sunday 14^th August and will start the ride early Monday morning and hope to complete early Friday evening 19^th August.
