Story

MY GREAT FRIEND TONI'S STORY
That's the thing about defibrillators -  THEY SAVE LIVES!

My name is Toni Vastano, I’m a survivor, thanks to Lucky2BHere! After suffering a cardiac arrest in September 2022, three of my friends  Andy, Graham & Stephen along with myself and, many others within our local communities wanted to say a big thank you and give something back to the incredible emergency services that helped save my life.

It's an incredible story and it all begins with a defibrillator that had just been installed a few weeks before. I was on vacation with my wife in Islay, feeling unwell we were driving to the clinic when I suffered my 3rd heart attack, without that defibrillator I wouldn’t be here today. I was revived 3 times and unbelievably the only western Isles air ambulance happened to be on Islay! I then suffered a stroke and was in an induced coma for 3 weeks, thankfully I’m now on the mend!

So, we’ve decided to cycle from Campbelltown in Argyll all the way home to our beautiful little village of Kincraig in the Highlands to fundraise for as many defibrillators as possible.
We want to SAVE LIVES AND NEED YOUR HELP TO DO IT!

287 miles from 15/05/2023 - 19/05/2023.
Starting point Campbelltown then on to Tarbert, Lochgilphead, Oban, Fort William and finishing in Kincraig, to make it tougher we are taking in as many hills as possible! Please support our charity cycle & support our community and those beyond. Please help us to raise some cash 💵to buy defibrillators and the upkeep of their maintenance. Please help save a life.
Thank you so much for reading and here‘s to a good cycle for life! 😉
