We provide palliative and end of life care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m running the London Marathon in October and this time my Dad has selected the charity; South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House as he and the family are being supported during palliative care.

After fighting illness for a number of years; my dads fight is now unfortunately about when and how as opposed to if. He would like to recognise the role that South Bucks Hospice play in supporting patients and their families during palliative care.

Having stated I’d never run a marathon again, I got drunk and applied; I was fortunate enough to to get a place on ballot. I’ve settled into life without running but now with the marathon less than 100 days away the training is underway.

South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House is a day hospice supporting patients living with life-limiting or life threatening illnesses through the provision of specialist palliative care on an outpatient basis.

They help people at any stage in their diagnosis to adjust physically, psychologically, socially and emotionally to their condition, to keep well and to cope with any health and care needs at home, wherever possible.

They also support their families and carers.
