Survival of the Fittest, Nottingham · 9 October 2010

St Giles Hospice provides specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, for people living with terminal illnesses, as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Story

Our participation in this event is all down to our colleague, Graham Tipping. Graham works with us at The Becket School, Nottingham and in May he received some very sad news about his father. Unfortunately, his father died of cancer whilst been looked after in the St Giles Hospice, Lichfield.

St Giles provided an excellent service and really did everything they could to make his time there care-free and as comfortable as possible.

Graham has taken part in this event for the last 2 years and because of the excellent way his father was treated whilst at St Giles he decided to dedicate this event and all money donated to the hospice.
