Event: Virgin London Marathon 2016, on 24 April 2016
On Sunday 24th April 2016, 6 incredible Donkey Sanctuary supporters will take on the London Marathon hoping to raise £10,000 for donkeys and mules living and working in appalling conditions worldwide.

Story

I started running back in February 2015 and have so far run a couple of 10k races and in October I ran my first Half Marathon. This year I am making the step up to marathon distance and am delighted to have been selected to represent The Donkey Sanctuary at the London Marathon in April.

I have been doing fundraising work with The Donkey Sanctuary for a while now. Ive donned the mascot suit several times and organised cake sales and got colleagues at work to sponsor their own donkeys aswell. I ran the Leeds 10k for the sanctuary in 2015.

Not only do The Donkey Sanctuary do some amazing things both in the UK and abroad raising funds and awareness for donkey welfare they also things with the donkeys like riding therapy and donkey visits and giving the public the chance to visit adopted donkeys.

They really are a wonderful charity and who doesn't love a donkey??

Please donate to the sanctuary and keep visiting my page for updates on how the training is going!
