This is my second fundraising event for the RCN foundation. Last year, I walked the west highland way and with your support raised over £600.

The RCN foundation charity aims to improve public health through education and training bursaries, supporting the development of clinical practice and enabling individuals and communities to make positive choices. The Foundation encourages innovative and effective clinical services through the support of dedicated  and creative nurses.

The RCN Foundation Trust also supports nurses in times of need. The Foundation lamplights support service offers current or previous nurses, midwives and Healthcare Assistants advice and support in times of need including financial grants to alleviate hardship.

This year, I aim to walk continuously the 100K of the south coast challenge, hopefully in under 24hrs. I have managed to persuade my wife Lisa that she would like join in and she will be undertaking the first half of the walk.
