Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the St Magnus Marathon on Sunday 1st July, which starts in Kirkwall outside the cathedral at 10am, and finishing at Birsay village hall sometime later!

Those of you who know me know how much enjoyment I have got from running over the last four years. While running I spend a lot of time thinking about things. This year, with the passing of a good friend of mine from cancer, I have been thinking about him and the care he received. I have also thought about the strong connection that Macmillan has here in Orkney, and particularly on Stronsay, the island where I live. The unit provides support to all the Orkney population, both to patients and also to their families, while they are going through very difficult times in their lives.

I am grateful to you for reading my page and for considering a donation to this very worthwhile cause.
