The National Autistic Society is here to transform lives, change attitudes and create a society that works for autistic people. There is still so much to do to increase opportunities, reduce social isolation and build a brighter future for autistic people. With your help, we can make it happen.

Story

So what makes this fat and unfit 41 year old lardy get off the sofa and don his running gear for the first time in some 25 odd years ???

Well......No parent ever expects to hear that their child is Autistic and with no family history, it comes as quite a shock. You are left a little bewildered and feeling not just a little alone but not sure where to turn next.

The Basingstoke branch of the NAS, run totally by volunteers, has enabled us to attend organised family events with other parents who appreciate what you are going through, accepting that if a child appears to be 'naughty' or 'plays up' its often not the case.  Through them we've made many new friends.

The Branch needs all the funds they can get to survive and provide the much needed, fantastic service they currently do. There's very little government funding coming their way this year....So this lardy is going running !!!   So please please dig deep and donate now.
