Andy Cycles Mont Ventoux

Andy Cycles Mont Ventoux · 29 May 2022
At 04:00am on a bitterly cold morning in May, I will be starting my first of six cycles up and down Mont Ventoux, The Giant of Provence, to raise vital funds for Impetus.
Only 372 people have officially done it - which is fewer than have climbed everest, swum the English channel, or gone into space.
You can make my treacherous journey worthwhile by partnering with me. The money raised will support Impetus in their mission to supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve better outcomes in school, in work and in life.
Mont Ventoux is one of the most famous and famously tough mountains in cycling. It’s been a Tour De France stage finish ten times. The ride itself is 274km with 8,800m of climbing – just 50m short of the height of Everest. Throughout the day, I will burn approximately 10,000 calories whilst battling some of the most extreme weather on Earth – winds of over 320kph have been recorded near the summit and winds of over 90kph happen on an average of 240 days a year.
Please join me on this crazy adventure by donating what you can.
