Eek.... thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

I began running last January with a couch to 5k programme and haven’t looked back.  I remember at the beginning thinking I’m never going to be able to run continuously for 5k but much to my amazement I did it after 8 weeks. I signed up for my first 10k race in June and can remember being petrified, but again I did it and got a real buzz for running (and the bling)! From there I did a few other 10k races over the summer and signed up for a half marathon (round a mountain) in November.  Each step has pushed me beyond what I thought possible, but I’ve loved every minute. 

I am lucky enough to have obtained a ballot place in this year’s London Marathon which is an absolute dream come true!  It’s going to be the most challenging experience of my life, but even if I have to crawl across the line I will do it! 

I have chosen to raise money for Millie’s Trust.  A charity that I have followed from the beginning, as it really touched my heart. 

Joanne and Dan lost their precious little girl, Millie, 6 years ago, when she sadly passed away following a choking incident at nursery.   The Trust was set up in her memory to ensure first aid training is readily available to anyone whatever their situation. 

I recall Jack being a few months younger than Millie at the time and could only imagine the pain Jo and Dan went through at losing their child.  What scared me the most, was thinking would I know what to do in a situation where a child (mine, or another) was choking!  Would I be able to help?  Would I remain calm and possibly be able to save a life?  I booked myself onto a pediatric first aid course and would advise everyone else to do the same. 

Therefore, if you could spare any cash to sponsor me, however big or small, I will be eternally grateful. Your support and generosity will help to get me through the  26.2 miles.
