I'm taking the plunge, at last, and have entered IM Canada in August this year. The race starts with a 2.4 mile swim in the Okanagan Lake, British Columbia, followed by a 112 mile cycle taking in two legendary climbs at Richter Pass and Yellow Lake, making its way back to Penticton via the Okanagan Falls and Skaha Lake. The final stage is a 26.2 mile run within the beautiful wine region of the Okanagan valley. The first event was staged in 1983 with only 23 competitors and is renowned for its friendly and helpful 4,500 volunteers which make it one of the most popular IM events in the world.

I'll be raising money for FareShare which is a UK wide charity that supports communities in relieving food poverty. It works with the food industry in providing surplus food to organisations helping disadvantaged people and promoting the message 'No Food Should Be Wasted'.
