Story

Angie Bishop, formerly of Newmarket, became terminally ill in November. She married me, her partner of 19 years, on November 25th, and became Angie Lowe. She died on December 8th.

Angie had long been a fan of Monkey World, an ape rescue sanctuary in Dorset, which features in the TV shows Monkey Business and Monkey Life.

The Jim Cronin Memorial Fund, which commemorates the founder of Monkey World, is a charity which supports efforts to rescue, protect and conserve monkeys and apes throughout the world.

Angie's funeral will be at 4pm on 6th January 2023, at Cambridge Crematorium. I believe she would appreciate the generosity of offering flowers in her memory, but would prefer that most people make a better world by supporting the welfare of monkeys and apes.

My wonderful team at work raised £372 to fund a memorial picnic bench at Monkey World. I have set the target to £628, to see if we can raise a round £1,000 in Angie's memory.

(And in case you're wondering... no, she didn't really pull that monkey's tail.)

About the charity
