Dear friends, 

I was only diagnosed with renal cancer last October.  It meant a couple of operations, immunotherapy and more lately targeted radiotherapy for brain metastasis.  Treatment got the primary and some secondaries, I was doing OK but it’s been a rough ride for me and all the family.  Unfortunately, I had a particularly nasty type of tumour which rapidly got the better of me and it still baffles Oncologists.  Let’s donate some money for more research and support to families through Renal Cancer UK so others later have a better chance?

I was going to do a crazy something to raise money but events progressed and so I didn’t get the chance..  So when donating consider how much you might Have spent on flowers (I will have loads - no more please!) or on petrol to come to my funeral which is now restricted by numbers as a result of government restrictions.

I may have a proper send off later in the autumn which my dear friends in HQ Navy Command are planning for when restrictions allow.
