I've decided to do a few different events  in aid of Shalom hospice
 these include
the Newport Marathon,
May tough mudder 
Cardiff Half Marathon
And The Saint David's Mud run- done, and it was painful!
I’m doing all these events for Shalom . As part of my nurse training I spent some time working along side the wonderful staff and  patients and I can't explain how amazing this place is, words fail me.  Shalom is Pembrokeshire's only hospice, yet is solely charity run.  Shalom offers day care and once a months offers a 4 day respite care. Having spoken to and spent time with the patients that attend Shalom, they say how they wouldn't cope with out shalom. Shalom makes some very dark days that bit better.
It's a sad thought that one day ourselves or a loved one will need a service like Shalom and it won't be there for us if we don't support it.
