Cymer Afon Triathlon · 27 July 2013
Angelton Clinic is a dementia care unit situated at Glanrhyd Hospital, Bridgend. This year a relay team of dedicated staff have entered the Cymer Afon Triathlon in a bid to raise funds for items which will aid the therapeutic interactions we have with patients at the clinic.
Our fundraising will go a long way to purchasing specialist items as well as developing the ethos of meaningful interactions with patients with dementia.
The development of our gardens is also high on our agenda, with staff, carers, relatives and patients all committed to creating outdoor spaces with can stimulate, relax and motivate.
As a new, purpose built unit, we are striving to craft our ward and communal ares into welcoming environments, where patients and their famillies can spend time tongether.
Angelton Clinic is comprised of three wards, with a total of 42 patients. We work closely with the Dementia Care Training Team who were recent finalists in the Social Care Accolades. We also have close links with our local branch of the Alzheimer's Society.
The smallest donation can help us acheive our goal, so please consider sponsoring our three atheletes. The event takes place on 27th July 2013 and your support will be greatly appreciated.
