Story

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in fundraising income. The 2.6 Challenge, launched on Sunday 26 April, should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event. People around the country have been doing activities to raise funds for charities based around the numbers 2.6 or 26.

I am writing 26 poems over 26 days to raise funds for the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity. I began on Wednesday 8th April, and hope to finish on Sunday 3rd May. The aim is to produce a quality teaching resource that appeals to both teachers and learners. Each poem is a labour of love!
