The Maggie Oliver Foundation provides emotional and practical support to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, while campaigning for a criminal justice system that is fit for purpose in getting victims the justice they deserve.

Story

In summer 2022 I will be undertaking the 'Ten y Fan' challenge in the Brecon Beacons - climbing the Welsh  mountain Pen y Fan (elevation of 886m) ten times in a row - almost (!) the elevation of Everest at 8848m - in 24 hours.

At over 40 miles, this will be a hugely tough - mentally as well as physically - and I'm doing it to raise awareness and funds for The Maggie Oliver Foundation

Maggie Oliver is best known as the Detective-turned- whistleblower who resigned from Greater Manchester Police in late 2012 in order to expose grooming and child sexual abuse scandals.

Maggie's relationship with the victims of child grooming continues, and she has set up The Maggie Oliver Foundation to help survivors transform their Pain into Power - you can read some of their stories here: https://www.themaggieoliverfoundation.com/category/survivor-stories/

Sponsoring me will help fund phonelines offering support to survivors, plus research/exposure of abuse and authority failings with the aim to break this horrific cycle.

Please give what you can to help me try to reach my goal of raising £2000 for The Maggie Oliver Foundation.

On the day, If anyone wants to join me I would be very glad to have some company on one or more ascents!

Thank you for your support

Anita
