COSMIC Walk 2011 · 10 July 2011

Cosmic supports children’s and neonatal intensive care at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals by funding life-saving equipment, ground-breaking research, specialist training, and providing vital support and accommodation for families during the toughest times.

Story

As most of you are aware, in April our youngest son, Oscar was admitted to PICU at St.Marys Hospital with severe septicaemia and other complications. He had multiple organ failure and was extremely sick. He was on the PICU for a total of 18 days and for 13 of those days, he was fully supported.

There is no doubt that without the amazing care and knowledge of the doctors and nurses on the PICU, Oscar simply would not be alive today.

COSMIC (Children of St Marys Intensive Care) is a charity set up in 1994 and all money raised is used to buy life saving new equipment, fund ground breaking paediatric research and also provides support for families. We have been lucky enough to benefit first hand from this excellent charity and it is our pleasure to be fundraising for them.

All 4 of us are taking part in this years family fundraising walk through Hyde Park on Sunday 10th July. As a family we are indebted to St Marys and although our ordeal has now ended, we are very aware that there will be other families needing this valuable help.

COSMIC's latest video is attached and we would all be so grateful if you could sponsor us. Remember also that Gift Aid can be claimed on every donation.

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page and thank you for all your support.
