As-salaamu Alaykum, This Ramadan I have decided to support Barnet Islamic Centre a local Masjid by raising funds to clear the debt left after purchase. By the mercy of Allah BWSB has purchased the building and established Barnet Islamic Centre. Alhamdulillah, starting off with just £90k they have managed to raise £350k through donations and £600k in Qard Al-Hasana through a live TV appeal and their JustGiving page last year. The Masjid currently has £400k of Qard Al-Hasana which needs to be returned to the generous brothers and sisters who loaned the money. After the outstanding balance is cleared, by the will of Allah, they plan to increase the capacity and accommodate a much needed sisters area at the back and children's educational facility. Ideally to start kids madrasah classes as soon as possible and teach them valuable Islamic practices.
