Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I had originally just volunteered to drive the mini bus to take people who were doing the Munro Challenge for the Beatson Pebble Appeal up to Rowardennan.

While we are there Carol and decided to climb our first munro on 28 May for the Beaston Pebble Appeal in memory of my mother-in-law, Lily Logan who died of cancer in January of this year.

Lily was such a brilliant character and friend and would have been the first to put her hand in her pocket to support a cancer charity.  She came along to many of my work's fundraising events in support so I know she will be looking down on us and cheering us on.

We will also remember our other family members Sharon and Louise who lost their battle with cancer, our friend Alison and Lily's friend Isa who are currently fighting the battle and our friend Ian and Carol's father in law John and Jean's friend Ellen who have all recently won a battle with cancer.

Our other friends Mary and Rosie would have joined us but Mary has just had knee surgery and Rose a major operation on her feet so they are out of this challenge but I'll be sending them off to abseil from the Finnieston Crane next time round ha ha xx

Cancer has touched all of our lives in some way and we hope that you will support us in reaching our target.
