In memory of Stephen Hutton

Anna Boyle is raising money for St Margaret of Scotland Hospice
In memory of Stephen Hutton
St Margaret of Scotland Hospice is Scotland’s oldest and largest Hospice providing 30 beds for care of older adults with special medical, nursing and palliative needs - 27 for palliative care, 3 for exceptional cases, providing the highest standard of care for patients and carers through multi-professional team working.

Story

In memory of our adored brother and uncle.

Stephen (Steve, Stevie) John Hutton was born on the 6th of September 1960. After a courageous battle with cancer, Stephen passed away at home on Monday the 12th of October 2020.

Due to current restrictions, many of Stephen's friends, family and colleagues are unable to pay their respects as his funeral. We have received requests for flowers to be sent, however, we would rather this money was given to charities who truly need it. We appreciate the exceptionally challenging circumstances currently faced by everyone, so, please do not feel obliged to donate.

Any money raised will be given to St. Margaret of Scotland Hospice. Our family will double any donations received. The Hospice means a great deal to us. Not only did the fantastic nursing team care for Stephen, but they also looked after our sister Jacqueline, Mum and Aunt Cathie in their final days. They are currently looking after our beloved cousin Margaret. We'd especially like to thank Dr Tony Duffy and Catherine for their care for Stephen.

Stephen was, and always will be, a much loved brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, friend, colleague and neighbour. We are heartbroken at this devastating loss to our family but wish to do something positive to help others.

Thank you to all who have sent their sympathy and wishes, we truly appreciate it.
