I will be fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity as my boyfriend Carl was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Oligoastrocytoma in February 2012. Carl has undergone numerous operations and treatments and his tumour is currently looking stable. I am so proud of Carl, he always remains so strong and positive.
Fundraising for the Brain Tumour Charity means a lot to us and hopefully we can make a difference and raise awareness. Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40. Over 55,000 people are currently living with a brain tumour in the UK and most are coping with a reduced quality of life.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the UK's largest brain tumour charity and the leading dedicated funder of brain tumour research. They need to raise at least £5 million each year to fund vital brain tumour research, provide support and information, raise awareness to shorten diagnosis times and influence policy to improve the prospects for everyone affected by a brain tumour.
