Dear friends,

As some of you know that I am involved in a number of voluntary projects over the years and enjoy helping others. Therefore, I have recently been selected to go this August 2013 to Morocco as an ICYE-UK volunteer to teach English to young people aged from 12 to 20 years old in Casablanca, North West of Morocco.

ICYE-UK is an organisation which supports some of the most disadvantaged sectors within the country and by doing so, will make a difference to the lives of others. Their work lies in the area of youth development which gives young people like me, the opportunity to help and support disadvantaged individuals all over the world. Through these exchanges, volunteers promote peace, cultural understanding and youth empowerment.

I am hoping to raise £450.00 through donations for this summer volunteering programme to show support for what this organisation does and to help this programme to continue allowing and assisting international volunteers from overseas to come to the UK and work as a volunteer too in domestic charities and social projects.

My placement will begin on 1 August until 30 August 2013 and I would greatly appreciate any contribution you feel able to give and would be happy to keep you informed of my progress once I am overseas.
