Hiya - thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know, last year I developed a very rare autoimmune condition which attacked my eyes.
It was quite a frightening few months not knowing why I couldn’t see properly anymore, and although I’ve been left with permanent eye damage it is totally manageable and I was very, very lucky.
Acute Multifocal Placoid Pigment Epitheliopathy (quite the mouthful eh?!) is a form of Uveitis - which is basically an inflammatory eye condition affecting the retinas, but the cause is sadly unknown.
I was really lucky to be treated at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. They saved my vision & are continuing to ensure my peepers stay in good nick today, so I’d be so grateful for any donations to help them continue doing the amazing work they do. 👁
You can read more about them here: http://mftcharity.org.uk/our-hospital-family/manchester-royal-eye-hospital-charity
I’m running the London Marathon on what weather forecasts are saying could be the hottest day on record - so I’m going to need all the luck I can get (& a good few tinnies at the end).
Any amount - no matter how big or small will make a difference. Thank you x
