Great North Run 2017 · 10 September 2017 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Against my better judgement I have been persuaded to do the Great North Run by the wonderful Susan Barker. We're also doing the York 10K as a warm up(?!) I'm running (well hopefully running) for the Teenage Cancer Trust who are an amazing charity  I came across them when they supported a student at John Lyon who was diagnosed during my time there. The charity was brilliant for him and he became a huge source of inspiration for the other students.

This is a big personal challenge for me and frankly I have no idea whether I'll be able to run it but I will get round! Please help my training by sponsoring me and giving me no get out! I've struggled with a bad hip during training but I'm determined to do what I can. It won't be pretty - or anything but snails pace!
