Some of you may, or may not have known my sister, Annalise, but she unfortunately passed away in October. If I were to put on a brave face I’d say I’m doing well, but obviously I miss her dearly, and nothing is ever going to be the same.

 

Even though her life wasn’t as long as most, she enjoyed it very much, even though she was pain, which she suffered from continually. Many people helped her through this pain, and others gave her enjoyment though helping her with things she enjoyed. 

 

In the Easter of 2009 HCPT took Annalise on a Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. This was the first chance for her to go on a “holiday” in a long time, and on her own made her feel more self-sufficient. She had an amazing time while she was out there and made many wonderful friends.

 

HCPT along with 2 other charities helped Annalise. So to raise money for all these charities I plan to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats this summer.

 

I won’t be doing this alone, a friend is going to do this with me. As this is (probably) a once in a lifetime trip, we are not going to race and do in within a week or something crazy! We’re going to set realistic aims, and meet them [hopefully], we’re thinking 16 days to do the whole trip!  Being students we want to keep the costs down to an absolute minimum, so we’re going to be camping throughout the trip. However, if anyone is en-route, and doesn’t mind taking us in, I’m sure we’ll make any diversion off of our route for a hot cup of tea/shower =p

 

If anyone and everyone could please sponsor me that would be great, any amount would be greatly received, and I’m sure wisely spent by the receiving charity. My aim is to raise about £1,200. This would be enough for:

            The upkeep of 1 horse for about 6 months

            One child to go on a pilgrimage to Lourdes

         Great Ormond Street use all money wisely.
