Liz (my fellow churchwarden from Bulkington) and I are planning to cycle to 16 local churches and cover about 30 miles on the day.  Quite a challenge for two 'old girls'.  The funds we raise will be shared between our own churches and the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust who give grants to preserve historic churches such as ours.  Seend church is a beautiful grade 1 listed building set in a lovely location, but it is expensive to maintain, so this ride is one way of generating additional funds.  A current urgent project is to repair some of the clerestory windows to make it less draughty in the winter.
