 I am sharing this story in hope of creating awareness and also to ask you for help. 😊

In February 2018 we were over the moon to learn that we were to become parents! We had dreamed of this moment for a long time. We went for the scan and there he was so perfect and his heart beating away. From then on the pregnancy went amazing and we got to see him grow over the next 9 months. Because Henry was an ivf baby we had a consultation on the 18th October to discuss being induced which was booked for the 23rd October.

We were very excited to meet our little man, however the worst possible news came just the day before where Henry had sadly passed away. Our perfect little boy was born on the 23rd October sleeping. After investigations I have a rare condition that can only be identified in the placenta and was never picked up. Henry was 4lb 13oz (39 weeks) and if I had of had more monitoring and scans throughout the pregnancy I could have had him earlier if we had know.

I am writing this to ask for help in your support for the baby beat appeal at Sharoe Green Unit at Preston where they need donations to help improve their foetal monitoring and keep updated in their equipment to help save babies lives. We are holding a ladies night charity event in memory of Henry in March as well which the proceeds will go to this charity.

If anyone can help by giving a donation we will be truly thankful. Thanks for reading my story and I really hope that we can raise more awareness and support our local maternity ward who have been amazing in looking after us after Henry was born.
