We provide financial support to injured emergency services heroes

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 6th September 2018 I am facing my fear of heights by jumping out of a plane at approx 15, 000 feet strapped hopefully to a very good looking fit bloke, with big arms and Tatoos !!!!! After all there needs to be some benefit to this !

The blue lamp foundation covers all emergency workers, police, ambulance and fire and rehabilitates those injured, physically and mentally in the line of duty and supports the families of our fallen colleagues.

A charity that is very important to me, having been one of those injured on duty I know too well how it impacts on day to day life and how difficult the road to recovery and back to operational duty can be.

All our emergency services put their lives on the line every day of the week to protect us and put themselves into situations most could not even imagine. Under every uniform there is a person and one that can be injured physically by what they do and mentally by what they see and hear and I believe that these people and their families deserve our support in every way possible.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

ALL money raised is going direct to The Blue Lamp Foundation as I am funding the sky dive myself, so your money is NOT paying for my jump!

This charity was set up by PC David Rathband after he was shot in the face at close range on 4th July 2010, just 10 years into his service, by Raoul Moat, whilst on duty through the window of his police car. PC Rathband was left with life threatening injuries and left blinded in both eyes. He left for work work that day, just like any other to protect and serve the public.

Please donate as much or as little as you can, every donation no matter how much makes a huge difference to an officer, a paramedic or a fire fighters life when they are at their most vulnerable.

Emergency workers are out there 24 hours a day 365 days a year and with the continuing cut backs are now facing more challenging situations and along with the limited resources are putting themselves in more danger than ever before and I believe deserve our support.
