My mum Annette Haigh works for the St Vincent de Paul Society a national Charity (Registered Charity 1053992) as Project Manager of a project called St Jude's Furniture Store in Leeds. They help under privileged families & individuals in the Leeds - Yorkshire area.They do fantastic work . It can be as simple as giving someone a bed to sleep on or a full furniture & start up pack, a meal or just a friendly face & place to come and escape loneliness and isolation and feel part of a family & a team. It certainly makes us think how lucky we and our families really are! Its so sad hearing the situations people are in that come to My mums project for help especially the children in the Yorkshire area that are living in poverty in this day & age.

 

This year for the annual Leeds SVP Sponsored walk on Sunday 30th September my friend Ella Bolino & I, are all walking the 7 miles around Eccup Reservoir in Leeds to raise money for my mums project & their sister Project the St Vincents Support Centre also in Leeds.

This is the fourth year running I have done this walk & this year Ella & I came 1st out of 105 walkers & we are both ten years old. Please help us to support St Vincent de Paul Society by sponsoring us both!
