Some of you knew I was pregnant but many didn’t even know yet, I only just started showing... Today was supposed to be her due date...

On the 11th September, at only 24 weeks & 3 days, our little girl decided it was time to come out into this world and so Annabelle was born weighing only 682 grams (1lb 7oz). 

She is the most beautiful, strong little girl and after lots of ups and downs she is currently doing really well. She now weighs a whopping 3.1 kg’s (6lb 13oz) and has more than quadrupled her birth weight....just unbelievable!!

This has been and still is the most difficult journey of our lives, but at the same time it has been so so rewarding. We have been able to see her grow from this tiny, little pickle to this amazingly strong baby girl and have seen her develop her own little personality. 

We still have some way to go, but now being at day 110 we do hope we can start counting down the days/weeks soon before we can take her home and her proud big brother can have lots of cuddles 💕

Our and Belle’s journey has been made so much better due to the amazing care received at King’s College Hospital. The staff is just incredible and we are grateful beyond words. 

The Ickle Pickle Foundation has been a major game changer as they have funded lots of their equipment that we have benefitted from so much. 

This includes the Zaky hand which has calmed and supported Belle all these months and the comfortable reclining chairs which made our Kangaroo care so much more special!! 

I know that this is probably a bad time to fundraise so soon after Christmas, but anything you have going spare would help the Ickle Pickles enormously and will benefit other parents and babies in NICU!!
