Story

Aberdeen Schools' Rowing Association have been facilitating junior rowing on the River Dee since 1960. As a member of the club, I have benefited from being part of a great sporting community, run by a team of amazing volunteers . This has given me the opportunity to achieve more than I ever dreamed I would, as part of a successful junior crew.

This summer my crew and I are swapping our boat for bicycles to participate in Ride the North, raising funds to help secure the future of our club. In addition, we decided that we would like to raise money for a great local charity as well as our rowing club.

Charlie House is a locally based children's charity to support children and young people with complex disabilities and life limiting conditions. They have launched a 'Big Build Appeal' to create an eight bedroom respite facility in Aberdeen, to enable children and their families to take a break from their everyday challenges.
