Changing Faces is the UK's leading charity for everyone who has a mark, scar or condition that makes them look different.

Story

Many thanks to all those who supported us and gave so generously to Changing Faces. We're delighted (and relieved) to confirm that we completed all of last month's Arctic Challenges (a 35 kilometre dog sled race, an orienteering race through deep snow, plus a 25 kilometre cross country skiing race using wooden "no glide" skis from the 1940s) without injury or frostbite (it was minus 43 just before we arrived). We even managed to win the orienteering and the sled race, and come second in the ski race. It was a testing but quite amazing experience in a strange and wonderful land - and of course all for a very good cause.

For those of you unfamiliar with our chosen charity, Changing Faces is a UK charity supporting and representing children, young people and adults who have disfigurements to the face, hands or body, whether present from birth or caused by accident, injury or by illness or medical episode. It campaigns to change public opinion and combat discrimination, and to help and support those with a visual difference.
