Can you imagne a world without elephants? Sadly, that is one that might come come true. The ivory trade is one of the biggest black markets in the world with around 40,000 elephants killed each year in Africa for their tusks. 

Well I'm doing a half marathon, then a marathon, followed by a triathlon in March, April and May and am raising money to help elephants along the way. I'd love for you to join me - if just from your armchair.

The London marathon will be in April 2014 and am trying to raise at least £2000 for Care for the Wild International so that they can continue their amazing work trying to protect elephants from ivory poaching.

In Africa, they run anti-poaching patrols in risk areas, they rescue and rehabilitate elephant orphans back into the wild and they work with children in poaching hotspots to ensure they become future custodians of wildlife rather than future poachers. 

I'd be so so grateful if you could sponsor me - even if it's just a couple of quid - that's less than a Costa coffee or a tube journey. 

Many of you will know that over the past 2 years I have done a couple of triathlons. I love a good challenge, but the marathon will be by far the most difficult thing I will ever have done. Running has always been my enemy. Whilst I can complete a triathlon, running up 3 flights of stairs at work still leaves me panting and huffing like a little puggie! 

So, I'd love it if you could sponsor the elephants and me. This really will be the biggest challenge of my life and hopefully, I'll be running up those work steps like Rocky by the time April comes around.
