Story

Arla, aged 4, will be taking on the 100 challenge in celebration of Sir Captain Tom Moore's birthday by running for 100 minutes over the course of the week starting on Friday 30th April.

With the same extraordinary spirit of Sir Captain Tom Moore, Arla will be raising money for Millys Smiles, a charity that has helped to support her close friend, Jacob.

In 2018 at 21 months old, Jacob was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Receiving intensive Chemotherapy and undergoing invasive procedures, Jacob is a true fighter. He and Arla met at a playgroup when they were toddlers and have been friends ever since, they are now in the same class at school together and are looking forward to resuming play dates outside of school when the current covid restrictions allow.

Milly’s Smiles supply a hold-all kit bag for every child newly diagnosed with cancer which includes many helpful things such an ear thermometer, a blanket, toiletries, thermal cup, sports bottle etc. All essential items that are really needed when you find yourself suddenly on the paediatric oncology ward for an indefinite length of time!

Please help Arla to reach her target of raising £50 for Millys Smiles in order to help them continue their amazing work in supporting children with cancer.

Every penny will be very gratefully received!

Many thanks. Xxx
