Thanks for taking time to visit my Just Giving page, my name is Arlena and I will be running the London 2020 marathon to raise awareness and money for the Stroke Association.

When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.

As many of you already know this is a charity very close to my heart, around 8 years ago my Nan suffered a stroke and her life was changed drastically over night, she now needs a lot and support and care due to this. 

Also one of my close friends suffered a stroke at a young age, thankfully she is recovering and doing very well although her life will never be the same as before. 

I feel there is a big need to raise awareness that strokes don’t just affect the elderly. I would like to raise as much as possible so please donate whatever you can.
