Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Between 17-25 August I will be going to Japan to do some trekking in memory of Amelia-Mae Davis.  A brave little girl who lost her fight against neuro blastoma, an aggressive form of cancer that mainly affects children.

I'm raising money for The Amelia-Mae Foundation with proceeds going towards helping children and their families, affected by this horrible disease.

I'll be climbing three peaks on Mount Hoo, Yakushidake, Kannondake and Jizodake.  This will take two days and require an overnight stay on the mountain, in a hut!!!!

I will also be ascending and descending Mount Fuji in one day, which will take about 9 hours.

Why am I doing this?  Well, meeting Amelia-Mae's parents has touched me and made me want to help in some way.  Japan may be a bit OTT, but you need to do something to push you, and that's what I am doing.

About the charity

The Amelia-Mae foundation was set up when we lost Amelia-Mae to Neuroblastoma at aged 2. We, the volunteers of this charity, fight in Amelia's name to ensure no family goes unsupported throughout and beyond treatment. Please help us to sustain this support
