I am 18 years old and have just left my sixth year at Banchory Academy. I am hoping to go to university in Scotland in September 2010 but before this I plan to travel to Peru for 8 months with Project Trust. I have been given the amazing opportunity to volunteer in a children's orphanage in Peru where I will be providing general care to young children who have been abandoned in life. I will also be teaching the children English, organising extra-curricular activities and helping with homework, acting as both a teacher and a big sister.

It has always been my plan to travel for a few months before university and Project Trust have provided me with a perfect combination of experiencing a totally different culture and also helping children who haven't had the same luxuries in life as I have had. I will get to put my Higher Spanish and love for working with children to good use!
