Hi everyone,

I am about to embark on one of the biggest challenges of my life; I am swimming a mile in open water at .

Everyone who knows me knows that I am not one for exercise, in fact the most exercise I do is lifting a glass of wine to my mouth.

 

From supporting friends last year who did the swim and watching those who were participating inspired me to believe that if they can do it so can I.

However, now looking at the immense pressure I have put on myself to train and complete the course I needed a reason to push myself harder.

 

After careful consideration (and putting my life on the line), Birmingham Children’s Hospital could really benefit from any money raised, and it would be an honour to help and support kids who need our help!

 

My mission is to make a real difference to the children at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, their families and the staff who treat them by providing additional facilities, equipment and research and by creating a caring environment for all who use the hospital. By supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital you will be making a real difference to the lives of thousands of children and families, when they need it most.

 

From having a dramatic and life threatening accident as a child I know how important every penny counts to making a difference.

 

This is a huge challenge for me, and I’m counting on your encouragement to complete it.  I don’t want to have to use the distress signals I’ve already Googled and will complete the course. For me to help the kids, I need your donations please.
