Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I did this bike ride as it seemed quite a fitting event in memory of my Grandad who died after a short battle with Leukaemia in May 2016. He used to go out on his bike most days until he was in his 80's and bought me my first bikes as a child. When I was about 6 years old, doing laps around the block he used to tell me I'd cycled about 100 miles but now I've actually done it in a time of 5 hours, 46 minutes.
The charity I have done this for is Bloodwise.
Bloodwise is a UK based charity dedicated to funding research into all blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma, as well as to offering information and support to blood cancer patients. Bloodwise's vision is to beat blood cancer.
I appreciate not everyone has money to spare to donate so another amazing thing you could do is sign up to give blood. It's not until you see the people you love the most in need of that blood that you really how important it is. I've only given blood since last year and it's quick, easy and so so valuable to the people that need it. You can sign up here! https://my.blood.co.uk/Account/Register
If you sign up, please let me know. I'd love to know that this ride is making a difference!
