Steve Prescott Foundation Walk Against Cancer 2013 · 25 September 2013

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Between 25th September and 5th October 2013, I am taking part in a 179 mile walk to raise funds for the Steve Prescott Foundation by participating in the Walk Against Cancer 2. This is a total of 11 days, beginning in Hull and ending in Manchester while visiting many rugby league grounds along the way.

This will be the third time I've attempted this challenge, having completed the previous two in 2007 and 2008. It is hard work but something that I am determined to complete again in order to be able to contribute to the Steve Prescott Foundation. Steve is an amazing person and I'm proud to be able to support the Foundation. If you're unaware of Steve or his story, please take some time to read up on this amazingly inspirational man. I've provided a link below for more information on the Walk; Steve's story can also be found on this website too.

Anything you can donate towards this fantastic cause will be greatly appreciated in my attempt to raise the target amount.
