Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

On the 5th of March 2012 one of my closest school friends lost his battle with brain cancer less than two months after his 30th birthday.  Ashley Shameli or "Ash" to all who knew him was a caring and compassionate son, brother and friend.  He was also very funny!

An account of Ashley's story as written by his sister - Shardi, can be found here:

Although running has played a major part in my life I have not run for a charity since running The London Marathon in 2004.  Danny's Dash which takes place this Sunday (October 11th) at 10:30am is an eight mile trail race near Stouport-on-Severn, Worcestershire and held in memory of Danny Horton who died aged 36 from a brain tumour.  All proceeds from the event are donated to brain tumour research.

The event has over 1200 ft of climbing.  Anyone who knows me will know I'm not a big fan of running up hills so please give generously!

Much love

Bondy
