Trek Madagascar · 5 November 2017
On November 5th 2017 I will join an elite team at Thames Water on a 12 day trek to remote Madagascar. Our route takes us to the valleys and ridges of Andringitra National Park, where our goal is “Pic Boby” Madagascar’s second highest mountain - 2658m from the ground. This trek is graded as Tough (3) as the main challenges lie in the rough conditions underfoot and the long days of walking, especially on a summit day. Many factors influence challenge grading such as terrain, distances and climate, altitude and living conditions.
This event raises money for my charity Water aid and I hope to raise awareness of what this charity supports and to raise money to help fund all the good work that they do around the world helping people with a better access to water. Clean drinking water, toilets and proper hygiene for millions of people around the world is why I am taking on this Trek.
I am writing to you to ask for your support for this event and cause. Would you be so kind to help sponsor me in this challenge in donating generously? If you could spread the word around your team in the work place and ask others to aid with small donations I would be most grateful at all the support that I can get.
