For me the work of The Sharan Project is vital as someone who has lived with the threat of being disowned for a very long time. I have also been very lucky to be able to work with The Sharan Project and talk about my experience. I have tried my utmost to work with my birth family for them to accept me as I am. This however has not worked and although they claim to not disown me, most of them are not accepting my life with my chosen family and want to pick and choose how they are involved with me. The Sharan Project supports girls and women like me so please donate in honour of our wedding.
