No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

Thanks for taking time to visit our JustGiving page

Last Year 9 of us braved an Extreme running Event called The HellRunner – we didn’t have a clue what we were signing up for – minus ten degrees the night before the race & minus three during the race!! The front runners were breaking the ice with their shins as they crossed the BOG OF DOOM and we all shed a little tear on the HILLS OF HELL... That was all before being made to run through a river twice and across a mile of sand and across the finish line.

This year we're back - and there are more of us! Some familiar faces and some new. Please

We are again running for Julia's House - a local Children's hospice based in Dorset. They care for children who are unlikely to live beyond the age of 18 http://www.juliashouse.org/the-pyjama-appeal/about-the-appeal

At the moment they can only provide care during the day - the Pyjama Appeal is aiming to raise a massive £400,000 to provide care for these special children at night. This gives the parents valuable time off and end-of-life caring around the clock.

Please help support this amazing charity by sponsoring us in this daunting event. Also, if you're not taking part we'd love to see you at the sidelines supporting us - it's a great spectators sport as you'll see from the video.

Thanks!
