Auriole Wells is raising money for The Kidney Fund

Team: Remembering Ken Wells

In memory of Ken Wells

We raise funds for research that will lead to the successful treatment and eventual elimination of kidney disease. The lives of many people are seriously affected by kidney disease. Kidney failure is an extremely debilitating illness. Research is the only answer to find a prevention or a cure.

Story

Ken had 3 bikes. He never did things by half. One mountain bike, although he always used to say that Bracknell was short on mountains and not one but two electric bikes, just in case! We also owned a tandem, but the less said about that the better!

I'm remembering Ken and the kidney fund this September because on the 8th we would have been married for 35 years and 10 years ago we did it all again and renewed our vows in Antigua, best holiday ever! So on the 4th September we're going to sponsor our friend (and builder) Mark Flowers to cycle the 75 miles from Bracknell to New Milton in the New Forest Hampshire, in his Hawaiin shirt (and other clothes) to raise money for South West Thames Kidney Fund and research into Kidney Disease. He's aiming to do it in one day, which he should as long as he keeps the map the right way up!

I know he'll do it and and I know, with your help again, we'll raise loads!!

My huge thanks as always and a big up from Mark!
